"Aqua Fission enables operators to treat high-strength effluent reliably, recover usable water, and reduce cost and environmental risk."
Meat Processing and Slaughterhouse Wastewater Remediation
Agriculture and agri-business operations are increasingly constrained by water scarcity, declining aquifers, rising costs, salinity, and growing regulatory pressure. In addition to traditional farming challenges, many agri-industrial activities — including meat packing, food processing, and livestock operations — generate contaminated wastewater and leachates that pose serious risks to groundwater, surface water, and surrounding communities.
Aqua Fission provides a closed-loop water solution that enables farms, agri-businesses, and irrigation authorities to secure reliable, affordable water while protecting soil health, safeguarding groundwater, and meeting sustainability and climate-resilience goals.
Treating leachates and contaminated agri-industrial water
Agri-business operations such as meat packing, slaughterhouses, livestock processing, dairies, and food processing facilities generate wastewater containing high organic loads, fats, oils and grease (FOG), nutrients, pathogens, salts, and chemical residues. If not properly treated, these contaminants can migrate into groundwater and surface waters, creating long-term environmental and regulatory liabilities.
Aqua Fission treats these high-strength wastewater streams by removing excess salts, organic contamination, pathogens, heavy metals, PFAS, oils, and microplastics. This enables safe water reuse or compliant discharge without transferring pollution back into soils or aquifers.
True Zero Liquid Discharge for agriculture and agri-business
Aqua Fission achieves true Zero Liquid Discharge, eliminating toxic brine, sludge hauling, and wastewater outfalls. This prevents contamination pathways that threaten groundwater, reduces regulatory exposure, and aligns operations with increasingly strict environmental and water-protection standards.
Modular and scalable deployment
Aqua Fission's modular design supports deployment across a wide range of scales — from individual farms and food-processing facilities to large meat packing plants and regional irrigation districts. Systems can be phased in over time, providing redundancy and flexibility as operations expand or regulations change.
Result
Aqua Fission transforms impaired, contaminated, and high-strength agricultural and agri-industrial water into a reliable, reusable resource — protecting groundwater, preserving soil health, and enabling resilient food and protein production in an increasingly water-constrained world

GREECE: Halkidiki
Sludge Dewatering / Irrigation Water
Sludge, a byproduct of anaerobic digestion of organic materials to produce biogas, can contain harmful impurities that threaten to contaminate groundwater. The Halkidiki biogas plant deployed AquaFission to dewater sludge, and produce humus and irrigation water.
